Engineered Timber Ranges

Real timber veneer ranges with factual specs, colourways and installation notes.

WHAT ENGINEERED TIMBER CHANGES

Engineered timber is real timber on the surface, but it is built differently from a solid strip floor. The visible layer is a genuine timber veneer, while the core below uses multi-layer construction to reduce movement compared with a single piece of solid hardwood.

The veneer matters because it determines how the floor looks and how it can be maintained later. Veneer depth also affects sanding and recoating potential. The range pages show verified veneer thickness where the source catalogue includes it, and mark unconfirmed fields as confirm-on-enquiry rather than guessing.

For Sutherland Shire projects, engineered timber should still be treated as timber. It needs subfloor checks, moisture awareness, acclimatisation, expansion space and the correct installation method. The correct answer depends on the slab or timber substrate, not just on the colour selected.

ENGINEERED TIMBER RANGES

BEFORE SELECTING A RANGE

Use the range pages to compare board dimensions, finish, profile, installation method, acoustic notes and warranty wording. The right product still needs to be checked against room use, pets, children, sunlight, furniture, cleaning habits and whether the property is owner-occupied or rented.

Subfloor preparation is the deciding layer beneath the catalogue. A premium engineered board can still sound hollow, move, cup or show transition problems when laid over a slab with moisture, unevenness, old adhesive or poor height planning.

If a real timber surface is preferred, compare the range with engineered timber installation before requesting a measure.
